Except for the US Holding Company, each of the Des Amis companies will be managed for-profit by a Board of Directors. Our Directors believe in the vision of the CEO and are committed to making Des Amis a successful multi-national breeding and racing business.
We have expertise in each of the following fields, which will give us a strategic advantage over our competitors:
Expertise in the science of Genetics;
Expertise in the science of Exercise Physiology;
Expertise in thoroughbred Breeding (based on our Breeding Model);
Expertise in thoroughbred Conformation;
Expertise in Handicapping thoroughbreds;
Expertise in handling and nurturing thoroughbreds (or Horsemanship Expertise); and
Practical athletic experience.
Due to the commitment to our investors to apply science to the breeding and training of thoroughbreds, we have elected two physicians to be Directors in different Des Amis companies suited to their expertise (see below, Strategic Alliances).
Our CEO is an international corporate lawyer, and (as an exit strategy for investors) his legal skills and contacts will help to take DABC and DARC public in due time. The CEO is also an Ironman tri-athlete and (having been a competitive athlete most of his life at elite levels of competition, especially in soccer) brings erudition in exercise physiology and practical athletic experience to the training of thoroughbreds, whom he believes are athletes par excellence. Finally, the CEO has free access to medical information, being a descendant of a few generations of renown doctors on both sides of his family -- especially his great-grandfather Angel Arturo Aballi, who founded pediatrics in Cuba.
The following are some of the CEO’s notable accomplishments that add value to the Des Amis companies:
Led his team (as captain) in 1982 to a Florida State Championship in Soccer.
Completed Ironman Brazil (a triathlon comprising a 2.4 mile swim; 112 mile bike; and 26.2 mile run) in under 13 hours on just (4) four weeks of training.
Won the Vector Personal Sales Award in 1991 (Top Salesman in southern region of US selling CUTCO cutlery).
Spent (4) four years meticulously analyzing and studying the thoroughbred industry and undertaking empirical breeding and genetics research relating to thoroughbreds in order to produce the Breeding Model.
Won a US$32.00 Pick-6 wager in 2006 that paid gross earnings in excess of US$13,000.00 and is an avid and successful Pick-4 handicapper.
Placed in several thoroughbred Handicapping contests in the US.
Created a thoroughbred training program and spent (6) six months at a thoroughbred training farm working closely with a horseman in view of implementing said program.
Has represented many multi-national companies in various mergers and acquisitions and international financings (and, therefore, has the corporate skills to take any of the Des Amis companies public when the timing is right).
STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
We have entered into exclusive strategic alliances with (1) Equine Genetic Systems, LLC ("EGS"), a California corporation that specializes in the development and marketing of gene-based diagnostic products and services specifically targeted at the thoroughbred horse-racing industry; and (2) Agenixed Corp. ("Agenixed"), a Florida company that specializes in cellular/muscular bio-chemistry and intracellular mitochondrial metabolic dysfunction.
The chief executive officer of EGS, Dr. Miguel Robinson, has a PhD from UCLA in population genetics and is conversant with molecular biology protocols involved in type-testing of DNA. Dr. Robinson serves as a member of the Board of Directors of EASI and DABC. The chief executive officer of Agenixed, Dr. Rafael A Castro-Aballi, has been a practicing physician for more than 30 years, specializing in pediatrics, gerontology, endocrinology, cellular bio-chemistry and biology, pain medicine, and exercise physiology. Dr. Castro-Aballi is a shareholder in DABC and DARC and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of DABC and DARC.
